BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition School) has an 80-90% attrition rate. Most guys quit because they don’t have the proper perspective. They can’t see the end goal or the light at the end of the tunnel because they are consumed by their misery (the deadly combo of: cold, wet, sandy, tired).
If you’re in pain, don’t minimize it or pretend it doesn’t exits, instead try to look at it from a different angle. It could make all the difference.
