Over the next several weeks, I will be pointing out certain qualities of great leaders. This week, I will focus on how great leaders truly care about those they lead and oftentimes put others’ needs and self-interests above their own.
It’s easier said than done, but when a leader prioritizes the well-being of others,
Those they lead feel a sense of belonging, safety, and trust. The work environment changes from one of having to do a job, to one of loyalty and increased job satisfaction. The work environment becomes more productive, enjoyable and the organization advances.
And what’s more, caring for the well-being of the others is reciprocated among team members.
When leaders choose to really care about others around them, they move from good to great.
