Man, I wish I was a bald eagle sometimes. I noticed one of these majestic creatures soaring in the air today while I was doing my cardio workout. It reminded me that when life is good and things seems to be going well, it’s easy to be thankful and grateful. It’s nice to feel like we are soaring above the problems in life. But what about when life is hard and we are going through tough times? Part of my mental toughness development in the SEAL teams was learning how to cultivate an attitude of gratefulness and thankfulness- even in my worst moments. It’s easy to give thanks when times are good, but it takes mental toughness to be intentionally grateful in times of struggle.
