Few people on this planet know what a true friend is. One who is tender, sacrificial, self-giving, considerate and loving. I consider myself blessed to have a few people I can call true friends.
In my “Overcoming Adversity” talk, I touch on the power of a person’s “pack.” When life gets messy and the road unbearable, we need to turn to those who are safe, strong and trustworthy. The type of friends we can figuratively undress in front of and they still accept us – flaws and all. These incredible people are priceless.
Invest in them, pour into them, continue to cultivate your friendship – even in the messy times. It will pay off.
Surround yourself with people you can trust and be raw with. Just pick one if you must. We were created to live in community and in relationships with others. Your pack will sustain you in your darkest moments.
Who is in your pack?
